How do I replace the estop in our unit?

This article is a general overview on how to replace your e-stop in your unit.

Turn unit off and remove the key. 

Remove the 2 lower 5/16 self-tapping screws on the front and the all of them on the back.

You will now be able to open the handle bar box by removing the top handle bar box. 

 

With that done you can pivot the handle bar box up to remove the E-stop block by pressing in the white E-stop block tab pointed to in yellow and pulling it off of the E-stop switch.

With that done you can check the e-stop block by removing the wires and twisting them together. Turn the unit on and rotate the handle bars if the unit runs turn the unit off and reinstall the e-stop wires into the e-stop block. Check the function again. If the unit still works reconnect the e-stop block to the e-stop switch. Turn unit on and test the E-stop function one last time. If it still is working it means that the e-stop wires just needed to be reseated in the switch. If it does not it means that the e-stop will need to be replaced.
