Do we provide COCs, Certificates of Conformance or CE certifications?

The Term COC (Certificate of Conformance) gets thrown around loosely by many companies and the meaning gets lost.

If a company tells you they require us to provide a COC:

  • The first thing as sales you need to do is get a sample/example of the kind of COC they need. If the COC seems logical/reasonable then proceed with below steps.
  • If possible recreate the COC in a word document or Create a MWR to submit the sample COC to Kenzie so she can  put the COC into our format. Be sure that when you submit the COC to Kenzie you include in any information she may need such as: Serial Number, Part Number, Etc.
  • Then after creating the COC Kenzie will submit to management for an approval to send.
  • Then she will utilize PandaDoc to have the sales rep sign the COC, and sales can submit the COC directly to their customer.

So in Short: CREATING COC's IS PAIN! Don't do it unless you must.

CE Certificates of Conformance:

This is a whole different scenario. A few things about CE:

  • It is an extremely regulated, complicated, and expensive conformance that we do currently have the ability of issuing.
  • CE Certificates CAN ONLY BE ISSUED FOR: European Countries and Whole Good Products that we currently have certified.
  • You MUST quote the CE expense and we cannot discount/waive this charge.

If you have not previously quoted CE Certifications do not do it until you review with Sales Management.
